With long stretches of railway and road cutting through forests and reindeer herding areas, collisions with large animals like deer and reindeer are a constant threat—causing costly delays, infrastructure damage, and serious safety risks.
To address this recurring problem, BDX Rail began deploying Flox Edge alpha devices with our Wildlife Platform in March 2024 across multiple high-risk sites.
These AI-powered deterrent systems are now active along both railways and roads, detecting wildlife in real time and guiding animals safely away before collisions occur. By reducing these incidents, BDX Rail not only protects animals and people—it also cuts maintenance costs and keeps critical traffic moving.
The deployment is ongoing and part of a long-term strategy to make BDX’s transport corridors safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

As one of Sweden’s largest forest owners, Holmen manages vast areas of productive woodland where browsing by elk and deer causes significant damage to young trees—threatening regeneration, long-term forest value, and biodiversity goals.
As one of Europe’s busiest hubs, Barcelona Airport handles tens of millions of passengers each year—making safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility top priorities.
Located in the heart of Dalarna, Sweden, Mora Airport plays a key regional role in connecting communities, medevac operations, and seasonal tourism.
