A Visionary Solution for Wildlife Management

Flox, a spinoff from KTH, has been recognized for its groundbreaking AI-driven herding technology, addressing challenges posed by wildlife in critical industries and public spaces. Wildlife can disrupt everything from air and rail traffic to agriculture, forestry, and even beach tourism. Flox offers a sustainable and humane alternative to traditional solutions like protective hunting.

Using advanced AI, our system first identifies the species in the target area. It then applies species-specific herding methods, such as tailored sounds, to safely guide animals away from areas where they could cause harm—or be harmed themselves.

Applications Across Industries

Our technology, which can be installed on drones or in stationary units, is already making a significant impact:

• Aviation: Collaborations with Swedish and international airports to enhance wildlife hazard management.
• Mining: Keeping wildlife away from Boliden mines.
• Transport: Working with Trafikverket to safeguard roadways and, this fall, partnering with Alstom to equip trains with our system to prevent wildlife collisions.
