Position Overview:
Flox is a fast-growing technology startup with huge market potential. We combine AI and wild animal expertise to solve urgent environmental problems by helping humans and wildlife coexist.
As we prepare for fast international expansion, we are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial CFO to lead and manage our financial operations as we scale globally. We are still a startup, but need your help to create robust processes, systems and reporting systems that allow us to become a large, international company.
As CFO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our business: planning, risk management and financial reporting, including detailed reports to demanding external investors and venture funds. We see this as a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing financial health of Flox. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the executive leadership team. You will collaborate closely with department heads to ensure that financial initiatives are aligned with Flox’s broader business objectives.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility while enabling you to be at the heart of our exciting journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Financial Operations:
- Set up robust process and systems to support rapid growth
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, tax, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, and cost optimization.
- Capital Raising & Investment:
- Work closely with the CEO and external stakeholders to manage capital raising and investor relations.
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and growth strategies.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards in all our markets.
- Monitor financial performance and proactively address any variances.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CFO or finance manager with a proven track record.
- Strong understanding of financial management, planning, and risk mitigation.
- Experience from capital raising, scaling businesses, and working with investors.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment and comfort working in a tech-driven company.
Position Details:
- Location: Stockholm, Sweden.
- Hybrid position.
- Full-time permanent role with a six-month probationary period.
- Start date: January 2025.
